Halloween 2010

We had such a great Halloween this year. We carved pumpkins and the kids actually help but found it to be gross. Persephone was a witch and Orion was scooby-doo. I was a school girl. We had so much fun getting together with the family. Thanks so Sarah for hosting the party as usually, we really appreciated it. The kids loved trick or treating, Orion didn't want to stop but finally relented. Great time and cant wait for next year!

Grandpa Murdock

We had a lovely visit from grandpa Murdock this summer. The kids really enjoyed it and we got to talk a lot. We ended up going to chuck e cheese. The kids played forever, which was nice. Jackson and Alan got to talk for a long time. We really got to know a lot about whats going on with him. It was nice for the kids to see him and we hope to get to do it again in the future.

Pioneer day parade 2010

We finally got to go to the pioneer parade. The kids really enjoyed being there with the family and seeing all the floats and entertainment.

Persephone 2010

Persephone has made huge strides this year. She has become quite the little artist. Persephone has also been trying very hard to write and learn her letter sounds. She will be so ready for Kindergarten next year and is so excited. We love all of her wonderful achievements.

School!

It's offical! I have been in school now since January. I am having to start with basic math but Jackson and I feel it is a good place to start since it will be very important when I get to my nursing classes. I should be done with my pre-requisites by next April. It's all hypithetical from there. Right now the wait for the nursing program is two to three years but my advisor said that could change. We are ok with it since the kids are so little. It will be nice to have them in school when I start full-time classes (Yikes!!!).

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas, with a little bit of drama that almost spoiled the event. Persephone got a barbie doll house with a car, a dress up box full of clothes and accessories. From grandma Ellen she got a barbie, from grandma Julie she got a dress. Orion got a couple of trucks. From grandma Ellen he got a cars book and from grandma Julie he got a cute outfit. Sorry no pictures but the camara got left a home

Persephone's Fourth Birthday

Persephone's fourth birthday didn't go according to plan but it worked out in the end. We just got together as a family for dinner. She was so excited! She loves Grandma Julie's chocolate cake very much. She got lots of presents from everyone! From mom and dad she got a Nintendo DS with games and a case. Lots of little Hello Kitty things (she was going though a Hello Kitty faze), and a giant talking Dora (That I have since regretted.) It is very annoying! From grandma and grandpa Stephens she got fairy wings and a tu-tu and from Ali she got Hungry Hungry hippo's. It was all great!

Halloween

Halloween was great! Persephone really wanted to be a fairy but I just couldn't find the right costume. She ended up being a cheerleader (which she loved)! Orion was a doctor, he didn't really care but had a lot of fun. I always like to carve pumpkins with them. I guess I forgot that I had to do all the work last year. It wasn't so fun for me but the kids really enjoyed it.

On Friday we went and trick or treated at Jackson's work. Now normally this is really fun, but Persephone wasn't being her usually careful self and pocked her eye with a pencil (not sharpened) We didn't think so much at the time but as the night wore on she was complaining more. So, I had to take her to an urgent care. She had a corneal abrasion. She was so brave! Normally they won't even look at kids eyes that young. I thought I was going to have to go to the ER but she did it and got a little cauldron full of candy.

The next day she was fine and was able to go trick or treating with the family. She didn't last long because she got cold but had fun with all the kids. It was a great Halloween.

Orion's Second Birthday

Orion turned two on in September. It's hard for me to see my little boy growing up so fast. He is so full of energy and love. We love him very much and can't wait to see how much he learns and grows in the next year!
