Christmas!!!

Our Christmas was great. This is the first year that Persephone was really able to understand what was going on. Well, Jackson is not a patient person for one thing and Persephone got some of her presents a little early. She got a Leapster 2 and alot of games with it. She also got a leapfrog Tag with books. She got some poingo books, The Little Mermaid II, a camera, a ambulance, and a stroller. Orion got a shopping cart with food in it and a monster truck (that scares the crap out of him). Jackson got a netbook and a Mova globe (early off course). I got Nutrsystem and I am excited to start after the holidays).

After a really scary drive we went to breakfast where we go every year. It just wouldn't be Christmas without the Little America breakfast buffett. After that we went to the family's house and got to have our Christmas there. Persephone just loved it. She got alot of really cute clothes from grandma, Ali and Maddie. She alot got a Horton Hears a Who stuffed Horton. Orion got some really cute clothes from them as well. Jackson and I got some really great stuff as well. We are so greatful for our familys and glad that we are together this holiday season. Thanks for a great Christmas.

In the evening we spent it with the entire family at the Hardings house. We had a really great dinner, played with the kids, and exchanged presents. We also had some great news that Sarah and her sister Rachel are expecting in August a day apart. I am excited for both of them. The gift exchange was great. Jackson got a garden for his office and a gift card from Annie. I got some really cute robes for me and Persephone from Abby. Orion got a Jungle Bead Chaser from Ezra and Persephone got a Doodle Bear from Esther. We had a great night! The drive home was awful but we made it and got snuggle in our beds from a long day. We all hope to celebrat many more Christmas's with our family!

Persephone's Christmas program at school

Persephone and the other kids in her class had their Christmas program for school. I was so proud of her. She really tries hard to sing all the songs. Unlike the other kids she really tried to learn the words and not just the moves. She loves to sing and does it at home all the time. I really love to sing with her too. After they were done singing "Santa Claus is coming to town" Santa came in the room and they got to sit in his lap. At first she was not thrilled but when she say the candy cane she was in. He asked her her name and she told him. He asked what she wanted and she said a camera. It was cute. I really enjoyed it.

Making cookies

Persephone and I made cookies together for our playgroup. She was so excited! Until.....she saw how it was done and she got bored. In the end we had a good time. I really enjoy getting to do new and different things with her. She is growing up so fast. (Oh her hair looks funny because we had them in pony tails earlier.)

Gingerbread house's at playgroup

This week we got to make gingerbread houses at playgroup or should I say that "I" did. Persephone was more interested in playing with toys (and eating the candy). In the end we had a good time and we got to bring home a little house. (Our house is on the far right in the picture.)

Persephone's Third Birthday

It's official Persephone has finally turned three! She has been so excited for all her presents for weeks. She got a Poingo book set, Tinkerbell DVD, Doctor set, Dora globe (that connects to the TV and you play games) and the best gift of all her big bed from mom and dad. From grandma, grandpa, Ali and Maddie she got a Lola doll that talks from Charlie and Lola on Disney Channel. From Dusty and Ashley she got a home made doll with clothes and everything. It was so cute. Persephone had a great time. Now all she can talk about is Christmas. I am glad to have my special little girl that is growing so fast. I love her so much and am excited to see how she does in her new bed. (Which is actually good.) We look forward to another year of growing with our little girl. (Again sorry not many pic's but we had her birthday party at Thanksgiving and the camera never made it out of the bag)

Thanksgiving!

Well, Thanksgiving was great! We ended getting together with the family at grandma and grandpa's house. Jackson was great! He watched the kids and let me play games. I am truly grateful for such a loving hubby. Julie was great too! She and Persephone sat at the counter and ate together. It was fun to see grandma and granddaughter interact. All in all it was a wonderful holiday. (Sorry no pic's but the camera never made it out.)
